There might be some confusion over laser lipo procedure so I will take this post to clarify some of the confusion over how the procedure works and dispel some of the myths about laser lipo.

In a nutshell, laser lipo procedure is about using the heat from a laser to melt the fats in your body and remove them via another device. This procedure is meant to be as minimally intrusive as possible. In traditional lipo, a ’scraping’ method is used of which the surgeon will insert a tube into the targeted area and begin sucking the fats out. Compared to traditional lipo, the cannula used is much smaller in laser lipo and this is why it is not as invasive as traditional liposuction. During the operation, a surgeon will insert a tiny tube into the targeted area where you want to remove the fats. Once inserted, the heat emitted from the laser will then melt the fatty deposits. A second vacuum-like tube will then be inserted to drain off the fats. The remaining is absorbed and cleaned up by what is called a lymphatic system. During this entire process, the surrounding tissue will not be affected and this why the recovery period for laser lipo is also much faster.

For the entire laser lipo operation, the duration is around one hour. Patients need only to stay in the hospital for at most a day before being discharged. There are even some patients who can go home on the same day as the operation, after 3 hours of rest. During the procedure, the patient needs only to be put under local anesthesia. However, if you have low tolerance for pain, you might consider general anesthesia, although it implies you will incur more hospitalization since you need to least stay overnight at the hospital.

Laser lipo is not a miracle cure for obesity. It is still advisable to go through dieting and proper exercising to lose fats. This is a far more healthier alternative than going through surgical operations. However, for areas that are hard to lose fats through these means, then laser lipo might be a possible solution. It is especially ideal for areas like chin or neck liposuction, where it is hard to get rid of the fats stored in your facial area.

After the procedure, the recovery period is actually quite fast. During the initial phase, you might experience some nimbleness or slight discomfort in your operated area. For people who have went through facial laser lipo, the effects are slightly stronger and you will need a longer recovery time. For the rest of the other procedures, a week or so is all you need to completely heal. During this period, doctors will prescibe some painkillers for those who have low pain tolerance.

Before I end, I like to touch on a separate but related topic. The most concern people have with laser lipo is the prices. It is not a cheap procedure by any means. However, as I mentioned before, prices of laser liposuction can vary quite a bit and it is best you do some research before deciding on the procedure that is right for me. In fact, the cheapest laser lipo I have come across is from Jacksonville in Florida. For an operation on the upper and lower abdomen, the costs is less than $2000. So, if you are living in Florida, you might want to find out where this clinic is. (Btw: i wrote a post on vaser lipo in Florida in case you want more information). Another cheap region for laser lipo is Brentwood in Texas. The patient paid around $2,100 for a laser lipo procedure on her abdomen. So, again, if you are looking for cheaper laser lipo, Texas might be an alternative.

In summary, I want you to be realistic about laser lipo. It is a relatively simple and safe procedure but it is only a one off solution. If you carry on an unhealthy lifestyle, chances are you will gain the weight back. So, be sure to commit to a healthier living after the operations for you to reap its benefits.

vaser lipo prices and costs

where are the vaser lipo clinics

reviews of vaser lipo

According to Google insights, the state with the most searches for both vaser lipo and laser lipo are coming from Florida. Looking at the chart, we can see the next most states are Texas, followed by New York, New Jersey and finally California. I will cover shortly on the relevant information on laser and vaser lipo related to these states but for this post, the focus will be on vaser lipo in Florida.

The most pressing question about vaser lipo in Florida is the price. As I have mentioned below on my post on laser lipo prices, geography is a major determinant of vaser lipo prices. Florida happens to have quite a number of surgeons who are proficient in this area. Hence, relatively to other states, it is slightly more affordable if you choose to conduct your operation in this state. However, do note that other prices determinants of vaser lipo do play a role in the pricing as well.

In particular, the surgeon whom you are engaging plays a big part in your eventual cost. Between the surgeons, there are differences in terms of their education, training, experience, as well as expertise between surgeons. Some surgeons for example have been certified by the medical board while some have very deep experiences in conducting vaser lipo. All these factors related to the surgeon play a bug major role in the eventual pricing as well. In general, you tend to pay for a a surgeon who has a good education, great training, a lot of experience, gets good outcomes and has earned a good reputation.

The general price start at around 2.5k if you are looking for smaller areas such as chin or neck liposuction. For area such as stomach or back, the prices generally start at about $4.5k. In more expensive areas like Beverly Hills for example, the prices for a stomach laser lipo can start as high as $5,000. For Flordia, the average price is about $5,240 based on what patients has been paying as majority has opted for larger areas when doing their vaser lipo.

Customer reviews for vaser lipo in Florida has been generally positive. For example, one review about doing vaser lipo on her stomach in New Port Richey, Florida is very positive. She paid about $6,800 for the entire procedure but is generally please with the results. Although the operation has produced discomfort for her (as she is under local, not general anesthesia), the results are noticeable to her friends and coworkers.

Beside New Port Richey, there are vaser lipo providers in other parts of Florida including Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, Coral Springs, St. Petersburg, Tampa etc. In all these areas, the reviews I have seen are also very positive. In Fort Launderdale in particular, there has been quite of a number of reviews coming out from the Web. One particular reviewer has paid around only $3,500 to remove the ’spare tyre’ she had around her waist. She is currently happy with the operation.

In terms of clinics, here are some of vaser lipo clinics you can call to get a consultation on. I gathered this from the positive reviews on the Web.

Only about 25% of all Board-certified plastic surgeons have been accepted into the ASAPS. He is frequently quoted in the media, is monthly cosmetic surgery columnist for Parkland Life Magazine and was selected as a Contributing Expert for the 2007 plastic surgery reference book, “Be Your Best.”

For the 3rd consecutive year (2009, 2008 and 2007), Dr. Levens has once again been voted “Best Cosmetic Surgeon” by readers of the Coral Springs Forum.
