Ultrasonic assisted liposuction vs laser assisted liposuction
This is a comparison guide between laser assisted liposuction versus ultrasonic assisted liposuction. Since my last point on ultrasonic liposuction, there have been some confusion about the two techniques especially on their effectiveness. In this article, we will take a look at some of their main differences and which liposuction procedure is the right one for you to consider.
Their main difference lies in how the fats are loosen before the extraction process. In traditional tumescent liposuction, surgeons don’t loosen the fats before the extraction, leading to longer recovery period. For laser liposuction, surgeons will use the heat from the laser to melt the fats prior to the extraction. For ultrasound liposuction, sound waves are used instead of the laser. This process makes it easier for the fats to be removed without causing too much injuries to the patients’ internal nerves and tissues.
Due to the different fat loosening process, there are some noticable differences betwwen ultrasonic assisted lipo and laser assisted lipo.
The heat from laser liposuction can be too hot and can lead to the burning of the patient’s internal tissues if the surgeon is inexperienced and don’t possess the necessary skills. Radio wave liposuction doesn’t have the problem especially if vaser liposuction is used. Vaser lipo uses short burst of sound waves that doesn’t overheat. It generates enough power for the surgeons but not at the expense of causing any internal burning.
As such, laser liposuction is more effective of smaller areas. Not only does smaller areas prevent any overheating from the laser but they need better precision which only laser lipo can provide. If you are considering chin liposuction, neck liposuction or facial liposuction, then laser lipo is a better choice.
On the other hand, for people who wants to remove larger deposits of fats, ultrasonic liposuction would be a much better choice. This means that for people who are looking for stomach or tummy liposuction and even back liposuction, these sound based techniques is more suitable.
Prices wise, both types of liposuction techniques do not have too much difference. Their average cost is around USd5,800 and is not a cheap option by any means. If you want to know how to find cheaper alternatives, I suggest taking a look at my article on finding cheap and affordable liposuction.
I hope you find this article on ultrasonic liposuction vs laser liposuction useful.
